It has to be said, it's chilly here in Marrakech. Snow covered mountains close by, parked behind the shadow of the largest camper van money can buy. So to warm up in the sunshine, Krysia takes her breakfast "solo"
Out in the open with storks as companions, she warms up with a breakfast of corn flakes, dates, figs and bananas. Topped off by her new discovery, Kefir. A self made fermented milk!
A stroll into the Jemma Fna and a coffee stop to people watch. Out comes the iPad and a drawing takes shape. We're in the hat ladies square! Probably known by another name! And what a drawing.
Up to your usual standard krysia! Wow.
To celebrate, I take you to a high class establishment and dine you on the finest sardine balls in tomato sauce and a plate of beans! No expense spared, a total of 15 dirhams a head!! Just over a pound each. I spoil you! It's fine food cooked and sold by fine people.
Then on to the important job of finding a new coffee spoon! I know, it doesn't get much more exciting than this! Well with all the sad news in the world, some light entertainment is needed!
Omar's shop is in the rough guide! He's a little bit famous! He tells us. And he cuts down a spoon perfect for our needs.
It's a serious business and 20 dirhams and a saw, sorts out our coffee spoon to perfection.
The Koutoibia
No it's not falling over! Wide angle !
And after dark with the moon.
And as drawing by resident artist
And to finish off our long and lovely day, a splendid meal in the Jemma Fna after dark. A must when in Marrakech.
