Now this only refers to an incident that happened yesterday and not to an amnesia setting in! We took a drive on the motor bilke yesterday, along the piste or rough track towards the Daraa that we took the other day and found to our utter amazement, not only the flowers that we had gone to photograph but a police road block in what appears to be the middle of nowhere. In a flash I realized that i had forgotten our passports etc as a drive along a dusty track had not stimulated me into the golden rule of travelling in Morocco, always carry your papers.
Astounded, I confessed my guilt immediately and apologized profusely. A fine at the least I was expecting from these two young police officers. Instead, smiles, where are you from and welcome to Morocco! No problem, it's ok. They took our names and that's all we had to give them! Wished us a pleasant day and off we drove further into the middle of nowhere to recover our senses. Phew. The first time I've forgotten our papers on an outing and......
But on with the photos, the intention of our journey.
Colour in the Desert
Colour in the desert. It has been in evidence this trip, perhaps because we are earlier in the year. Perhaps it's because it's this year and it's rained. Purple and red, green and yellow. Flowers and sedums. Cactus and unknows. All seem to flourish out here under the unrelenting sunshine. How? It must be water. Water of life.

If you look very carefully, both motorbike and Krysia can be seen in the distance in the image below
And to bring us back to the black and white of it, here we are, in the 'middle of nowhere'. !
Now let's remember where we are and pack those passports. You never know when a policeman will pop up in Morocco.
